Fungal diseases affect fruit trees, berries, vegetables and flowers. One of the ways to protect a plant from fungus is to use Topaz fungicide. The tool is distinguished by a long period of action and high efficiency. It is used both for prophylactic purposes and to combat existing lesions.
Features of the drug
Fungicide Topaz is a chemical agent that belongs to the class of triazoles. Its action is based on penconazole, which inhibits the functioning of fungal spores. As a result, the spread of fungal spores stops.
After use, the substance does not form a film on the surface of leaves and shoots. The active substance penetrates the walls of plant cells.
Important! Topaz is effective in cold and rainy weather. The processing is carried out at a temperature above -10 ° C.
The product can be purchased in 2 ml ampoules or 1 liter plastic containers. Duration of storage of the drug is 4 years. An analogue is the drug Almaz.
Fungicide Topaz is used to combat the following diseases:
- powdery mildew;
- various types of rust on the leaves;
- gray rot;
- purple spot.
Topaz is compatible with many chemicals and prolongs the positive effect of their use. The alternation of fungicides improves the efficiency of the treatments.
Most often, Topaz is used in conjunction with the following drugs:
- Horus - to get rid of Alternaria and coccomycosis;
- Cuproxat - for the treatment of late blight and cercosporia;
- Kinmix - for pest control;
- Topsin-M - in the form of therapeutic measures when signs of anthracnose, scab, fruit rot appear.
Choosing the fungicide Topaz has the following advantages:
- wide scope;
- long exposure period, allowing to reduce the number of treatments;
- good performance (the development of the fungus is suspended 3 hours after the application of the solution);

- low consumption of the drug;
- suitable for most garden and flower crops;
- it is applied at any period of the growing season: from blooming buds to ripening of fruits;
- low toxicity;
- compatibility with other remedies for diseases and pests.
The disadvantages of the fungicide Topaz include:
- the need to comply with safety precautions;
- the active substance decomposes in the soil within 2-3 weeks;
- the period of use on the site is not more than 3 years, after which a break is required;
- high toxicity for the inhabitants of reservoirs.
Instructions for use
To obtain a working solution, first dilute the suspension in 1 liter of water. The resulting mixture is stirred, after which the required amount of water is added. The norm of the Topaz fungicide is selected according to the instructions, depending on the type of plants to be treated.
Topaz helps protect greenhouse or outdoor cucumbers from the spread of powdery mildew. To obtain a solution, take 2 ml of fungicide and 10 liters of water.
Consumption for greenhouse plants is 0.2 liters per 1 sq. m. For vegetables growing in open areas, 0.1 liter is enough. Spraying is necessary when the first alarming symptoms occur.
If signs of the disease persist, the plants are treated with Topaz fungicide again after a few weeks. For vegetable crops, it is allowed to carry out no more than 4 treatments per season.
Apple, pear, peach and cherry trees may show symptoms of fruit rot. The disease affects fruits that are mummified and remain hanging on the branches. The disease spreads very quickly through the garden and results in crop loss.
Another dangerous disease is powdery mildew, which looks like a whitish coating that affects shoots and foliage. Gradually, the aboveground parts of the trees are deformed and dry out.
To protect trees from diseases, a solution is prepared containing, according to the instructions for use, 1 ml of Topaz fungicide and 5 liters of water. Trees are treated by spraying. For seedlings, 2 liters of the resulting solution are used, adult trees need 5 liters.
Up to 4 treatments with Topaz are allowed per season. For preventive purposes, for spraying, the budding period is chosen or after the end of flowering.
Gooseberries, currants, raspberries and other berry bushes suffer from powdery mildew. A white bloom appears on shoots, foliage and berries. The spread of the disease starts from the lower branches. To protect the plantings from fungus, a solution is prepared consisting of 3 ml of the drug per 15 liters of water.
Important! According to the instructions for use, the need for Topaz fungicide per shrub is 1.5 liters.
Processing is carried out when the first alarming symptoms occur. Preventive spraying is performed during the formation of the first inflorescences and after flowering. During the season, it is allowed to spray the shrubs 4 times. Fungicide Topaz is not used 20 days before harvesting and later.
One of the most dangerous diseases of grapes is powdery mildew. On the leaves, yellowish swollen spots appear, covered with a white bloom. Gradually, the leaves are deformed, and the inflorescences fall off.
To protect grapes from oidium, a working solution of the Topaz fungicide is prepared. Dissolve 2 ml of the concentrate in 10 l of water. Planting is processed by spraying on the sheet. Consumption for 10 sq. m is 1.5 liters.
The first treatment with Topaz is necessary after bud break, repeated after flowering. During the season, the number of treatments must not exceed 4.
In cold and rainy weather, signs of powdery mildew appear on the leaves of strawberries in the form of a white bloom. As a result, the leaves curl and dry up, the berries crack and turn brown.
Another dangerous disease of strawberries is rust. Brown spots appear on the leaves, which gradually grow. As a result, the strawberry yield falls.
To treat strawberries from fungal infections, prepare a solution consisting of 3 ml of Topaz suspension in a large bucket of water. The plantings are sprayed over the leaf.
The first treatment is carried out before flowering. Additionally, strawberries are processed after harvest. During the season, 2 applications of Topaz fungicide are enough.
In cold and humid climates, roses suffer from powdery mildew and rust. Signs of lesions are diagnosed on the leaves of plants, as a result of which development slows down and the decorative qualities of the flower are lost.
To process roses, prepare a solution of 4 ml of Topaz concentrate and 10 liters of water. Spraying is carried out on a leaf. During the season, no more than 3 treatments are carried out. Between the procedures, they are kept for 20 days.
Rust and powdery mildew affects flowers that grow outdoors and at home. Signs of disease occur in carnations, violets, mallow, iris, clematis, peony, chrysanthemum.
To combat diseases, a solution is prepared from 3 ml of Topaz and 10 liters of water. Leaves and shoots are sprayed in cloudy weather. If necessary, the treatment is repeated, but no more than 3 times during the season.
Fungicide Topaz is a substance of hazard class 3, toxic to fish. The preparation is not dangerous for birds and insects. When working with the substance, observe safety precautions.
In the process of applying Topaz fungicide, it is forbidden to smoke, eat or drink. Work is carried out on a dry cloudy day or in the evening. Permissible wind speed - up to 5 m / s.
When working with a solution, it is important to protect the skin and respiratory organs. It is better to use a respirator and protective suit. People without protective equipment and animals should be kept more than 150 m from the treatment site.
Advice! If Topaz gets on the skin, rinse the place of contact thoroughly with water.
When sending Topaz fungicide, you must drink 2 glasses of water and 3 tablets of activated carbon, induce vomiting. Be sure to see a doctor.

I use Topaz fungicide to get rid of gooseberry and currant powdery mildew. I carry out the processing 2-3 times: in early spring, when the first leaves appear, during flowering and in autumn after harvesting berries. The remedy is effective only if the plants are treated several times per season. An excellent drug against fungal diseases on shrubs.

Two years ago, powdery mildew struck the gooseberries, so they were left completely without a crop. Last year I decided to use chemicals to ensure that the berries are picked from the bush. When used correctly, Topaz helps to cope with the disease. In early spring, I processed gooseberries twice with an interval of 10 days. I diluted the Topaz fungicide emulsion with water according to the instructions. During the season, no signs of illness appeared.

Powdery mildew appeared on the roses last year. To fight the disease, I decided to purchase Topaz. I processed the rose in the morning. Although it rained during the day, the fungicide began to take effect. During the week I watched the bushes, and did not find any new signs of the disease. Spraying was repeated 10 days later. Gradually the rose comes to its senses and releases new leaves.
The Topaz preparation effectively copes with fungal infections on vegetable and horticultural crops. Plants are treated by spraying. The fungicide is added according to the rate established for each culture. When interacting with Topaz, observe safety precautions.
